Centre for Transport Studies course

This course aims to provide students with an overview of the planning and implementation of transport improvements at a local area (as opposed to city-wide) scale and to explore local area network design practices appropriate to the South African context, as well as the management of networks through co-ordinated and proactive traffic calming and pedestrian, bicycle and special needs infrastructure provision. Students will also be introduced to current developments in the field both locally and internationally.
