Biography:

Dr Avuyile Wali is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Cape Town, where he completed his PhD in 2025.  He is affiliated with the Centre for Minerals Research, and his work focuses on the beneficiation of critical minerals through flotation.  His research places particular emphasis on platinum group minerals, with a focus on the surface, interfacial, and solution chemistry that governs their recovery from complex ores.
