Dr Wijnand Marquart

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Cape Town (UCT), where I conduct cutting-edge research on heterogeneous catalysis and CO2 utilization. I have a PhD and a MSc in Chemical Engineering from UCT, and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Applied Science, Utrecht, The Netherlands.

With over six years of experience in catalysis research, I have developed strong skills in data analysis, MATLAB, statistics, and laboratory techniques. I have also published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented my findings at international conferences. I am passionate about finding innovative solutions to address the global challenges of energy and climate change, and I am eager to collaborate with other researchers and stakeholders in this field.
