Research focus
The Catalysis Institute focuses on the development of novel materials and processes towards a sustainable society.
The Institute's primary research areas include syngas conversion and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, carbon dioxide activation and utilisation, hydroprocessing, fuel-to-hydrogen conversion, and hydrogen fuel cells and electrolysers. With the extensive experience in these fields, our researchers cover the full value chain of the Power to X process envelope, starting from the generation of green hydrogen from renewable energy and water to the synthesis of synthetic hydrocarbon based fuels via the reduction and hydrogenation of carbon dioxide.
