E&PSE group members Thabi Melamu, Linus Naik and Allison Kasozi are attending the Interdisciplinary Expert Workshop on the Potential of Small-Scale Biogas Digesters in Sub-Saharan Africa, running from 24-28 January, 2011 at Makerere University, Uganda. Thabi will be presenting the group's input on engineering considerations for such systems, and Allison will be presenting on the techno-economic evaluation of biogas technology as a component in the integrated solid waste management strategy for Nairobi, which he included in his Masters dissertation. Both Allison and Linus were awarded their Masters degrees in December 2010.
