Starting a new year

After neglecting our website a bit during the last year, we're making an effort again in 2013 to use it to reflect what's going on in our our research. The group composition has changed quite a bit, with 8 Masters students graduating in 2011. Well done Christina Trautmann, Shannon Royden-Turner, Joe Becker, Ilhaam Dalwai, Jasper Dick, Rissa Niyobuhungiro, Lehlogonolo Chiloane and Gracia Munganga! Thabi Melamu and Linus Naik are still with us for their PhD studies in biogas. Dr Akinwale Aboyade joined us in 2012 as a postdoctoral fellow. Our biogas research received a big boost with the award of a 3-year grant under the Global Change, Society and Sustainability programme administered by the National Research Foundation. Oh, and as of 1 January 2013, I'm offically a full professor. More updates to follow and maybe some blogs too. Follow us from time to time! Harro.
