The use of Vula within our programmes
Vula is the official online learning system at UCT. Although Vula may be used for several academic related activities, we utilise it in the Geotechnical Engineering Group to update you on information related to any Geotechnical Engineering course that you are registered for. Assignments and projects are also generally given to you through Vula and you will be advised to do an online submission of your work through Vula. To be able to have access to Vula, you should be registered for the respective course.
Generally, prior to the course taking place, you will receive an email notification on your UCT email account whereby you will be alerted about the upcoming course that you are registered for. In case you do not receive any such emails, please speak to Ms Rowen Geswindt, Prof. Denis Kalumba or Dr Laxmee Sobhee-Beetul on the first day that you are attending the course to ensure that you are registered for it. To access Vula, go to vula.uct.ac.za and select “UCT login”.
You can then enter your student number and the network password. The password is the same as the one that you use to access you UCT email account. If you have difficulties accessing Vula, it is advisable that you seek assistance from your classmates or any of the Geotechnical Engineering academic staffs.
