Microscopy and Microanalysis in Cleveland, North America

Prof Patricia Kooyman, SARChI Chair Nanomaterials for Catalysis, attended the Microscopy and Microanalysis (M&M) meeting in Cleveland, Ohio, July 28 - Aug 1, 2024. She co-organised the very successful pre-meeting conference on Electron Microscopy in Liquids and Gases on the Sunday preceding M&M. 

Prior to attending M&M, she visited Prof Raynald Gauvin at McGill University in Montréal, to explore possible collaboration. As a result of this visit, Prof Gauvin will visit her at UCT early April 2025 to give a seminar and a workshop (details to be confirmed - watch this space!).

Before heading back to Cape Town, Prof Kooyman stopped over at MIT to catch up with Tom Earle. After graduating with a BSc in Chemical Engineering at UCT, Tom is pursuing his MSc at MIT, and will stay on there for his PhD.
