DAAD Green Hydrogen Research Tour
Ms. Ziba Rajan was selected as one of 22 advanced PhD and postdoctoral researchers for the DAAD Green Hydrogen Research Tour in Germany from September 15 to 20, 2024. The tour commenced in Chemnitz and included stops in Freiburg an der Elbe, Dresden, Cottbus, and Potsdam, concluding in Berlin.
During the tour, participants visited 13 research institutions and industries, engaging with leading experts across the hydrogen value chain. Discussions spanned a variety of topics, including policy development, energy systems modelling, hydrogen safety, electrocatalysis, and materials engineering, offering invaluable insights into the latest advancements in green hydrogen technology in Germany.
The institutions and industries visited included: Technische Universität Chemnitz, TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Fraunhofer IWU, Technische Universität Dresden, Fraunhofer IFAM Dresden, HyDresden, Fraunhofer IKTS, Sunfire, Linde, Fraunhofer IEG, Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS), Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung, Technische Universität Berlin and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin.
This comprehensive tour provided a unique opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of green hydrogen research and foster connections within the field.
