The ESSE group offers a variety of opportunities for collaboration with industry or other academic partners. For example we are keen to help with input and support around smart sensor design, communication solutions, cloud storage and processing strategies. We can assist with investigating the practicality and robustness of designs or ideas for innovations, aiding feasibility studies or prototyping from proof of concept investigations to larger scale and more comprehensive system testing. We are keen to be involved in projects in which to explore the potential for new technologies, how these can help businesses, education and the environment. We are particular keen on leveraging 4IR solutions to gain better insight into the environment, to assist in the health and well-being of workplaces, to improve the sustainability and efficiency of farming and to help protect and assist in the care of the environment. We are keen to partner with small to large enterprises to assist in development and knowledge exchange.

Our industry and academic partnerships are listed below. We would like to express our gratitude to there businesses for the time they have spent with us discussing objectives of partnerships and helping up establish a clear mission and vision for the ESSE group.

ESSE is part of an Erasmus+ project with the University of West Attica in Greece. Through this initiative, we are working with international collaborators in areas related to radar, health sensing and tracking methods, and smart sensors.

We gladly invite further partnership connections, and to assist in identifying students that could contribute relevant projects to be of assistance and/or to help undertake needed research and development requirements.

The ESSE advisory board provides insight and direction to assist the ESSE group to help deliver training, plan experiences and project activities to provide graduates with desired skills and competencies, for pursuing research and development that is cutting-edge and relevant to current industry needs. See the About Us menu for details on the advisory board members.

Academic Partners

University of West Attica We have engaged in an Erasmus+ partnership with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of West Attica. This partnership connects with training and research in the area of smart sensor technologies in relation to IoT, methods of electromagnetic interference mitigation and radar. Through this partnership we aim to provide students as well as academic staff the opportunity to build their expertise in these areas and engage in authentic, industry-relevant projects and training initiatives.
 Lund University

We have developed an academic partnership with the Computer Science Department at the University of Lund. This partnership is focused on radar and radio astronomy sensory systems and tools to support these systems. Our members have the opportunity to engage in an exchange programme to spend some time at Lund University to work on a focused research project that can be part of their main postgraduate study. This provides valuable opportunities for both our students and academic supervisors to engage with academics and industry overseas to build globally relevant skills and insight in these fields of study.
