Anne Ruzario

Completed a BSc(Eng) in Chemical Engineering in 2024, graduating with honours and is currently pursuing an MSc(Eng) by full dissertation within the ESRG. Present research explores the South African chemical sector’s energy transition, focusing on emerging technologies and alternative process routes that can sustain competitiveness amid increasing global decarbonisation pressures. This work is framed within a future scenario that assumes the closure of Secunda.  By combining technical engineering analysis with insights into policy and industry dynamics, Anne works at the intersection of technological innovation and the evolving landscape of South African industry.
