Marianne Vanderschuren

Marianne is passionate about professionalism, management and ethics; at the Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment (EBE), she is the Deputy Dean for Transformation & Social Responsiveness.
Therona Moodley
Lecturer | E: therona.moodley@uct.ac.zaHaving obtained her Masters at the University of Minnesota (USA), Therona’s current PhD research examines how metacognition can foster academic perseverance in students. She has taught at UNISA, UWC and CPUT. "What the educator does in teaching is to make it possible for the students to become themselves." (Freire).
Alison Gwynne-Evans
Lecturer | E: alison.gwynne-evans@uct.ac.zaAlison holds a Masters in Education and Development specialising in curriculum planning and her research focuses on teaching and learning relating to ethics within engineering. Her vision is to inspire students to translate their skill and knowledge into action that impacts their context.
Richard Drummond
Associate | E: richard.drummond@uct.ac.zaRichard trained as an urban planner and holds BSocSc and Masters in City and Regional Planning degrees from UCT. He is a Member of the South African Planning Institute and the Institute of Estate Agents. With a background mostly in publishing, Richard also has experience in the property, education, environment, advertising and financial industries.
Nuraan Hartley
Administrative Assistant | E: nuraan.hartley@uct.ac.zaNuraan is an administrative assistant within the Faculty of EBE. She received her Certificate in Early Childhood Development and National Diploma in Business Management from the College of Cape Town and a Higher Certificate in Adult Education from UCT. Before joining UCT, most of her work experience was gained in the insurance industry.
