Brandon has extensive experience in protein production and purification for structural analysis by electron microscopy and x-ray diffraction in the Electron Microscope Unit and Structural Biology research group at UCT. He has industry experience from Afrigen Biologics, the WHO appointed mRNA technology transfer hub to LMICs, where he served as Specialist Scientist. His research, as the Director of the Center for Bioprocess Engineering Research, focuses on next generation therapeutics design and bioprocess optimization.
