merSETA

merSETA (Manufacturing, Engineering, and Related Services Sector Education and Training Authority) is one of South Africa's 21 SETAs responsible for skills development, training, and education within the manufacturing, engineering, and related sectors. It aims to improve the skills base of workers, facilitate training opportunities, and ensure that companies and learners have access to development programs that enhance productivity and competitiveness in the industry.

• Development of boiler models to improve the performance of biomass boilers at John Thompson.
• Funding for MSc students to conduct industry focussed research in close collaboration with John Thompson.
