If you want to join the CfTS research team, there are at least three ways to go about it:
- Post-doctoral studies
- Adjunct appointments
- Collaborative projects
Post-doctoral studies
If you already hold a PhD, it is possible for you to work under our supervision as a postdoctoral researcher. There are two ways in which you could become part of our team as a postdoc:
- Apply to open positions: we advertise funded postdoctoral positions through online channels and our international network of partners and supporters from time to time.
- Apply with a proposal: we also consider unsolicited postdoc proposals if you arrange your own funding and if your proposed research aligns with our focus areas and ongoing research projects.
In the case of unsolicited postdoc work, it is essential to secure in-principle agreement from a CfTS academic staff member that they are willing to take you on in advance. Before contacting any supervisor, we recommend that you prepare a to-the-point research proposal of no more than two pages in length. The proposal should, at the very least, give an indication of the topic, aims and method of your proposed research, along with some background and references to existing literature to support your proposal.
