We are an active research unit at UCT's Department of Civil Engineering, concerned with concrete materials and structural integrity.

Our aim

CoMSIRU develops high-level personnel for industry, research and academia, while engaging in innovative, cutting-edge research.

Testing facilities

Our laboratories are designed for concrete manufacture, testing of concrete properties and structural assessment of concrete elements.
