CoMSIRU at the 79th RILEM Annual Week & ICONS 2025 in Hanoi, Vietnam
CoMSIRU students Areej Gamieldien and Jaziitha Simon, together with their supervisor Prof. Hans Beushausen, represented CoMSIRU at the 79th RILEM Week, held in conjunction with the International Conference on Advances in Engineering and Technology for Sustainable Development (ICONS 2025) in Hanoi, Vietnam, from 24 to 28 August 2025. The conference brought together leading researchers to present and discuss recent advances in materials and structural engineering, with a focus on sustainable performance, digitalization, and the effective management of eco-materials and structures, all aimed at promoting the circular economy and improving resource efficiency in construction.
In addition, the students attended the Pre-Congress Courses organized for PhD and postdoctoral researchers, both RILEM and non-RILEM members, in related fields. These courses, coordinated by the RILEM Educational Activities Committee, were held at the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) on 22–23 August 2025.
