Prof Candace Lang  is lecturing in the Centre for Materials Engineering.  She holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from UCT, where she was a member of staff until 2012.  More recently, she established the Mechanical Engineering program at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Her research, with more than 60 journal publications, has a focus on physical metallurgy, with emphasis on structure investigations via electron microscopy.
