Soraya is employed at the Centre for Materials Engineering as a Senior Scientific Officer.  Her role includes supporting postgraduate students and researchers with specialist equipment, assisting in defining experiments and methodologies to address research questions, and provide training and assistance in the execution of mechanical testing, specimen preparation and metallography, heat treatments and materials characterisation using light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (including EDS and EBSD analysis).
