Background

Deslynne is an Administrative and Finance Coordinator for the Centre for Minerals Research in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Cape Town. She has a B.Com (Hons) (Industrial Psychology) (UWC,2018), B.Com (UWC, 2016),  Certificate in Business Administration (College of Cape Town, 2011), B Tech: Commercial Administration (Cape Technikon, 1999) and National Diploma: Commercial Administration (Cape Technikon, 1998). She started her working career at The Academy of Financial Markets in 2000 as an Office Administrator and then joined College of Cape Town in 2009 as the secretary/PA to the Deputy CEO: Corporate Services. She joined UCT in 2011 as the Executive Assistant to the Dean in the Centre for Higher Education. She then joined the Statistical Sciences department in 2019 as a Finance Officer before joining Centre for Minerals Research in 2025 as an Administrative and Finance Coordinator.
