Whether you are primarily focused on practice or want to build your knowledge on specific topics in a short space of time, we recommend registering for one or more of Continued Professional Development (CPD) courses at the Centre for Transport Studies (CfTS).

Fixed and standalone CPD courses

As a practitioner, you can attend lectures of the official Transport Studies Master's program held during fixed lecture weeks. Each course will be held and completed over a period of one week.

From time to time, we offer standalone CPD programmes and courses on specific topics or sets of topics. Sign up to our mailing list and follow our online media platforms to be alerted when one of these specialised offerings are about to run. These will also be listed in our calendar.

Course delivery and certification

All of our CPD courses are convened by CfTS staff in partnership with experts from the industry, public sector and academia.

Our CPD courses are accredited by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). Candidates obtain a formal CPD course certificate from UCT’s Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment upon successful completion.
