CeBER Review 2014

Every five years the Centre for Bioprocess Engineering Research in conjunction with the URC, goes through a period of introspection where all aspects of the Centre are considered and reviewed. The goal of this review is to assess the extent to which the Centre is fulfilling its primary objective of being research led; to evaluate the management of research development activities & build research capacity; and to consider the growth & sustainability of the Centre’s research against international standards. CeBER welcomed reviewers Prof Rene Wijffels, Prof Dean Brady, Mr Petrus van Staden, Prof Ed Rybicki and A /Prof Rachel Wynberg on the 13th May 2014 in a session chaired by Deputy-Vice Chancellor Prof Danie Visser to complete this process. CeBER would like to thank all those involved in the review, particularly the reviewers, CeBER participants, URC Members, Emeritus Prof Luigi Nassimbeni and the EBE Dean who took time out to be involved on the day.
