Two CeBER Judges at the Cape Town Expo for Young Scientists

On the 20th August 2014 two of our CeBER academic staff members, Dr Marijke Fagan-Endres and Dr Melinda Griffiths enjoyed a day off-site as they participated as judges at the Cape Town Expo for Young Scientists. This is an annual event which exhibits research projects from learners across grades 6-12. Marijke judged in the “Chemistry” and “Engineering: Chemical, Metallurgical and Mining” categories while Melinda looked after the “Energy: Alternative and renewable” and “Energy efficiency and energy conservation” categories. Both academics were involved in the judging of junior (grades 6-9) and senior (grades 10-12) sections.
