Biography:
Kirsten Corin is currently an Associate Professor and Head of Flotation Chemistry with the Centre for Minerals Research (CMR) in the Department of Chemical Engineering. She manages the Reagent Research Group (RRG) an industrially sponsored fundamental focus group which conducts research in collaboration with the foremost South African platinum group mineral (PGM) producers. Working very closely with many of the mining industry’s top companies keeps our research focused on what is important and relevant to them. Further to the RRG, the Flotation Chemistry team works one on one with many industrial partners attempting to assist them in solving on-site issues.
