Pink Talks 2025 - Afrikaburn
Drawing Into Dust: Learning Through Making at AfrikaBurn
Get ready for a fresh perspective! We're thrilled to host a collaborative student and graduate cohort from the School of Architecture, Planning & Geomatics at UCT. They're challenging conventional studio learning practices by asking: how do architecture students truly learn when they're empowered to build what they design?
Join them as they explore experiential learning, materiality, and collective processes, advocating for a studio space that embraces construction, unfiltered collaboration, and bold experimentation, free from traditional boundaries. This is about learning through risk, play, and embodied making practices.
The talk will be held in person in the Pink Room venue (Centlivres Building, UCT Upper Campus), but will also be streamed online for those who cannot make it:
