EU Horizon 2020 ITERAMS Short Book

The European Union Horizon 2020 ITERAMS Consortium included 16 partners from across Europe, Turkey and South Africa. UCT being the only African and Southern Hemisphere partner. ITERAMS is an acronym which stands for Integrated Mineral Technologies for More Sustainable Raw Material Supply and the project focus was twofold; efficient on-site recycling of water as well as the tailings valorization. UCT was invited to partner in the consortium owing to their expertise within the Department of Chemical Engineering in the areas of Minerals Processing, Froth Flotation, Process Mineralogy, Mineral Value Chains and Biological Components of Water.
