Biography:

Prof Adeniyi Isafiade obtained a PhD (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 2008. He then worked as a Claude Leon Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Cape Town, before joining the staff body of the department as a senior lecturer in October 2009. His research includes process synthesis, integration, and optimisation for sustainable development with emphasis on integrated renewable energy and resource network optimisation using insight based and mathematical programming approaches. He is a chartered chemical engineer and a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. He is also a member of the editorial board of the South African Journal of Chemical Engineering, Process Integration and Optimisation for Sustainability Journal and an associate editor with Frontiers in Sustainability Journal.
