Biography:

Obakeng Jona holds a BSc(Eng) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and is currently a lecturer and PhD candidate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at UCT. With a brief experience in management consulting, he is a young aspiring researcher specialising in bioprocess engineering. His research centres on bioproduct/biotherapeutics development (probiotics), bioprocess scale-up, and bioprocess design. His research generates knowledge whose application spans across the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and drug development & manufacturing industries.
