Biography:
André joined UCT in 1997. Initially, he was mostly involved in undergraduate teaching and training, but has over the last five years, mainly been involved in technology transfer projects, industrial teaching and training, and numerous research projects. André also spend a number of years working in industry prior to joining UCT.
He is currently working with MPTech, the technology transfer grouping within CMR. He is involved in plant optimisation survey, plant design, as well as teaching and training programmes. Over the last few years, he has been involved in several research projects in the areas of flotation, metal accounting, and comminution. Currently, he is mostly involved in both applied and fundamental comminution research at UCT. These include applied tumbling mill and stirred milling research projects.
