Biography:
Thulani Nyathi is part of UCT's Catalysis Institute and specialises in the synthesis, characterisation (ex situ and in situ), and evaluation of heterogeneous catalysts. His catalysed reactions of interest involve the hydrogenation of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide to green sustainable fuels and chemicals, as wells as the purification of fuel cell hydrogen via preferential carbon monoxide oxidation.
