Shivasi Mashau

Shivasi Mashau matriculated from Merensky High School, he went on to the University the Witwatersrand to complete a BSc in Aeronautical Engineering and an MSc in Engineering. Following graduation, he worked a Aerosud Aviation as a Research Engineer working on improving manufacturing processes for press forming thermoplastic composites for the aviation industry. He also worked at Tellumat Defence as a Design Engineer with a team tasked with the design and build of an unmanned aerial vehicle. He joined Mechanical Department at the University of Cape Town in 2019 where he has lectured Mechanical Engineering Design, Engineering Dynamic and Mechanics of Solids. He is currently registered for PhD at UCT focusing on the response of composite materials to blast loads and the study of the residual properties of composite post blast.
