CeBER Research Day 2016

CeBER’s 7th annual Research Day was received with appreciation as postgraduate students, staff and guests convened off-campus for a day of research revelry. This year the event was hosted at the Southern Sun hotel in Newlands by organisers Amna Ghafeer, Hedda Inderthal, Winfull Msipa, Shanna Swart and Brian Willis on behalf of CeBER director, Prof Sue Harrison. As always, the program boasted a multitude of fascinating presentations and posters, which instigated cross-disciplinary engagement across the CeBER fraternity. Guest speakers, Braam Malherbe and Dr Koni Rashamuse, infused the event with extraordinary insight and redirected the collective motivation regarding excellence and success. Prizes went to Matthew Burke for best presentation, and to Amna Ghafeer for best poster. A massive thanks and congratulations go to the team (and all those involved) for yet another successful Research Day.
