Cryo-EM traning sponsored by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative

We invite postgraduate students, postdoctoral research fellows and staff scientists with no prior cryo-EM experience, who are actively involved in projects with suitable protein samples, to apply for this hands-on training opportunity sponsored by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. MyScope Microscopy Training

MyScope was developed by Microscopy Australia to provide an online learning environment for those who want to learn about microscopy. The platform provides insights into the fundamental science behind different microscopes, explores what can and cannot be measured by different systems and provides a realistic operating experience on high end microscopes. SEM and TEM User Training

All users who are registered with the EMU will be trained by an EMU operator to use the SEM or TEM depending on their particular research activity. The training will follow the EMU access schedule. Users will be assessed according to their capability on the instruments. Please complete the booking request form and contact EMUbookings@uct.ac.za for further inquiries.
