To use any of the Centre instruments you must be a registered user. To enquire about registering, please see our instructions for registering and booking equipment. Alternatively, the Centre may be able to undertake contract work for you.

• Transmission Electron Microscopes

  The Unit has two transmission electron microscopes available for staff and student use: The FEI F20 CRYO FEGTEM, the FEI T20 TEM, FEI Osiris FEGTEM. The Unit offers training in the operation of these instruments.

• RAMAN confocal microscope

  WITEC RAMAN system includes:
  Motorized WITec Confocal Raman Imaging Extension for SEM,
  The Confocal Raman Imaging Extension includes:
  • WITec Confocal Raman Microscope base for SEM systems
  • Motorized WITec multiwavelength laser
  • Motorized and software controlled spectral calibration unit
  Adaptor for coupling to MIRA SEM
