This multi-disciplinary group has closely associated activities in computational material science and structural analysis. The primary objectives are to investigate the research areas of bio-mechanics, electro-mechanics and micro-structure motivated material behaviour, and to develop predictive continuum mechanics models, which are implemented in the in-house high performance computing toolbox SESKA, facilitating massive supercomputer simulations.

The group has strong links with research institutes and universities in France, Germany, Singapore, the United Kingdom and United States of America.
