Electron Microscope Unit Open Day | Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment

The Electron Microscope Unit (EMU) invites you to attend a demonstration of its broad range of imaging and analysis capabilities. Several short (10 minute) talks will walk you through techniques in materials (including natural materials) and biological imaging using scanning (SEM) and transmission (TEM) electron microscopes. The techniques will be demonstrated with reference to relevant research questions that arise in the materials and biological sciences. The objective is to help you to identify the potential for electron microscopy imaging and analysis to assist you in your research.
