Leading the Way: A Journey of Growth and Impact - An Interview with Princess Mathebula, outgoing 2023 SAICE Student Chapter Chairperson
Princess Mathebula is a final-year student in our Civil Engineering Department. Born and raised in Johannesburg, Soweto, Princess’s upbringing instilled in her the core values of respect and diligence. Her inquisitiveness about the construction of buildings and infrastructure, coupled with her innate problem-solving passion, set her on the path to pursuing a Civil Engineering degree. However, her journey didn’t stop there. It ignited her passion for leadership and her unwavering commitment to helping others reach their full potential and lead better lives.
In her final year, Princess decided to take on a significant challenge by assuming the role of Chairperson for the SAICE (South African Institution of Civil Engineering) student chapter.
