Prof Marc Lesturgie obtained his Engineering Degree in 1985 from ENSAE in France (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace), and his Masters in Electronic & Microwave from University of Toulouse, France in 1986. In 2005, he obtained a Research Directorship Habilitation from the University of Paris VI.

He joined the French Aerospace Lab (ONERA) in 1985 and worked in a wide range of low frequency and new radar concepts, covering bistatic, multistatic and distributed radars. From 1996 to 2000, he was the head of the ‘New Radar Concepts’ team in ONERA.

Since 2007, he has been the Deputy Director of the Electromagnetic and Radar Department of ONERA and the Director of SONDRA (a joint laboratory established between France and Singapore). He has also been a Adjunct Principal Research Scientist with TL@NTU since 2005.

He is a Fellow and Emeritus member of SEE, a Senior Member of IEEE, and a member of Editorial Board for the research journal IET Radar, Sonar & Navigation.

He has authored over 50 journal and conference papers, several patents and over 40 technical reports, and he lectures regularly on radar topics in French and overseas universities.
